I haven’t had many good chances to think deeply about economic theory in ages and I’m too lazy to read these books, so I figured this would be a worthy read. Overall, it’s just okay (I gave it a 6) and here are my favorite quotes:

The criticism is that capitalist society is so good at reducing our passions to passions about business, that we become a kind of vulgar, low-brow society – it doesn’t serve the spiritual interests of people.
