Loved this ! I think she nails middle of the night trauma with hormones raging and imagination wildly playing out. I love her writing, defiantly worth the read, I laughed out loud a few times.
There’s much to consider here. For one, taking me back to when I was in my 40’s, raising children, hormones raging, husband no longer interested in checking me for ticks. That question of identity - the confusion, urgency, drama. The imagining, over thinking, unknowing. In some regards it’s all delicious but frightening to be so on edge. It’s a passage, like so many in a life well lived and appreciated for all it births. I liked this very much, even, if at times, she seemed trying too hard to be weird.
