I was a just a kid when The Wonderful World Of Walt Disney premiered on TV. It was the highlight of the week, an escape from the tedium and discipline of my religious schooling. I loved a lot of the films that followed, particularly Old Yeller, which was so realistic because the main character dies. I bet I would still cry if I watched that movie again. When my children were young, the quality of films became an even more integrated mix of adult/kid entertainment. More sophisticated, meaningful and relevant. And the graphics and music sound tracks were equally imaginative, meaningful and stunning. However, I was never a fan of Disney World. Perhaps it’s the long lines and crowds. I was thrilled my children’s grandparents took them instead of me.
