Absolutely amazing. The honesty, the eloquence, it's doubtful that even though you know the exact thought the author had, you've never thought it so clearly.

I am currently taking an art class that combines art with psychology - excavating aspects of our souls and expressing it through images - no words. At the end of each night, we do a gallery walk, where the card made that night is laid on the table for us to witness. We are never allowed to comment - no judgment or criticisms, good or bad. All emotions are allowed. Silence, witness, as this person’s soul lays bared. It’s not about me, my ideas, my conditioning, my beliefs. It is a skill that is so powerful that it takes my breath away. It was so difficult, at first, but now I embrace its liberation. I feel that with this piece. An open curiosity, an interest, an appreciation of her voice.

      Whoaaaaaaaaaa.......

Before this I read an essay about drag queens and I thought that that was really brave writing. But “In Praise of Contempt” takes bravery to a whole new level. Oh. My. God. These are things you’re never supposed to say!

Trigger warning: borderline porny at times and tons of F bombs. But that’s what makes the feminism work.

I think I think that this is good. But I need, like, four or five days to think about this one.

      Again: whooooaaaaahhhh.
