Wow, this is a powerful read. Through beautifully crafted words and scenes, I could feel this author’s lifelong confusion and pain. To be able to convey such complicated emotions in an engaging way is masterful, in my opinion. I feel admiration, compassion and gratitude for a chance of placing my feet in his combat boots.

BOOM. I’m typing and retyping all kinds of silly/weird shit here - lots of thinking (good!) and lots of self-censoring (not good!) because basically I’m feeling some unusual feels, mostly that life’s too short to feel like my metaphorical balls are a lot smaller than I want them to be.

Tonight is one of those nights when I am growing, changing quickly, without warning, into new shapes and configurations.

What a sentence! I can imagine that on our deathbeds we’ll remember these kind of nights - the ones that stretched and changed us. What’s better than surprising yourself? What’s better than a 30 minute essay that makes you seriously consider how and when you’ll have a chance to party in drag? :P
