Ben should have mentioned reallyread.it in his article!

Bill, thank you for motivating me to get off Facebook. I don't miss it at all. The memory of using it is already fading away. I know I would be happier and healthier if I deleted Instagram as well. I think I will soon.

I still can’t believe you (Erica) did it (delete insta)!

Amazing. I’m carpetbombing LinkedIn right now - until reallyread.it raises a boatload of money, that’s the marketing plan.

Then, hopefully, I can nuke my LinkedIn and give the reallyread.it twitter account to someone else in the rr organization and then! I’ll feel free of the internet’s grasp on me. I just wanna read and work (email, Slack, pen/paper) all day. Is that so bad?

Things are heating up, I can feel it.

I have a million things to say, but the most important thing is this: Ben Werdmuller is a legit hero for our resistance movement. This is a powerful statement from a powerful player in the industry. reallyread.it is proud to call Ben an advisor and friend! :D

Social media is destroying a generation of brains and we're fumbling towards dystopia. Hanging in the balance, our human ability to think deeply, for ourselves. The feed is paving the way.

This is going to have a huge impact on Ben's career. Not to mention his lifestyle. Keep writing, Ben!

Our very identities are no longer our own. Social media even infiltrates our work. This has been true for me (tech CEO) just as it's been true for my brother (carpenter, tattoo artist) and my parents (own a liquor store.) We're forced to wrestle with the ways in with social media is "part of the job" and when we choose to walk away from it we suffer the consequences. In my case, I'm a slow CEO running a slow company. I'm okay with that. Mostly.

Life off the feed > life on it.

Ben, if you're reading this, THANK YOU! This shit is real. And really beautifully written. You've been a huge inspiration to reallyread.it from the very beginning. Gogogogogo!!!!!
